How do I refer my patients to Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre, St Mary’s Portsmouth?

There are a number of ways to refer your patients to us. You can either make a direct referral via email, post, or through the NHS e-Referral Service. For more information on how to refer your patients please click here.

Who can my patients speak to after their treatment?

To help patients recover post-treatment we have a Patient Advice Line. Patients can call us on 02392 858 446 weekdays (7.30am-5.30pm) and 03332 004 041 evenings and weekends (5:30pm-07:30am) to speak to a member of the clinical team.

This helpline is designed to ensure that recovery is as speedy and successful as possible, so please advise your patients to use it as much as they need to.

What are the exclusion criteria?

In order to be referred to us for treatment, the patient must not:

  • Be pregnant
  • Be below 16 years
  • Have unstable insulin-dependent diabetes
  • Require overnight stay
  • Have central Sleep Apnoea
  • Have COPD requiring home oxygen
  • Have decompensated Chronic Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Have had a Myocardial Infarction (MI) within last 3 months
  • Cardiomyopathy with an ejection fraction of <30%

For diagnostic imaging referrals, the patient must not:

  • Be pregnant
  • Below 18 years of age

For our Dermatology service patients must:

  • Be over 4 years old
  • Have a pre-diagnosed chronic condition
